Britney is the glamour princess of music; she has a perfect complexion with flawless skin and well defined eyes. Her hair is free and full of life, her smile seems to inspire joy even in the saddest of situations. But is she always like this?

Real Life::
When we compare Britney on screen to what she is off screen it is a wake up call to all saying that one must not believe what they see. She has lost her smooth skin and the glow is gone and replaced with splotches of red like se has some kind of rash. The hair is totally disheveled and just tied into a bunch to keep it in place with no care taken.

Eva Longoria:

Every one remembers the petite star from Desperate Housewives, Eva Longoria is a lady with the looks to charm any man looking in her direction. She certainly has that something that can make heads turn wherever she goes. But this is only onscreen, what is she like off?

Real Life::
far from the screen Eva looks like a housewife desperately in need of a life. It seems as though she has undergone a drastic change, her light brown tan is totally blanched of colour and she appears ashen. The wonderful hair is blonding and is filled with split ends and totally frizzy.

The ultimate material girl, very few people look the way she does at her age. Even today she can bring any man down with her looks and her moves. But is she always like that or does she transforms into what we see onscreen?

Real Life::
far away from the material girl image Madonna is like any ageing 40 plus woman, her face looks flushed and totally blanched and pale like she was suffering from some illness and has just got out of it. Her smile isn’t that sensuous anymore and her front teeth tend to protrude outwards to a slight extent. Is she the same woman who will die another day?

The star from simple life hotel heiress Paris Hilton made waves in the fashion industry with her beauty and her attitude. Somehow she always tends to look good and sensuous. Her style is unmatched and irreplaceable. However what is she like without her mask of makeup?

Real Life::
Paris in real life is not much to look at; her skin is covered with a rash like look and reddish. Her cheeks are covered with acne and this is certainly not what we see when she walks the ramp.

At times things can be so far apart that it becomes hard to believe that it is true. The same is the case with Sameera if we were to see her without her make up it would have been hard for us to recognize her. Totally opposite to her on screen image Sameera is far from being the hottest person around. If we were to describe her it would be like this, thin, lanky, frizzy hair, slightly unstable on her feet. When we think of Sush we think of the professor from the movie Main Hoon Na, where she sizzled in those tight fit red flowing and graciously draped saris, this is the stuff of what dreams are made of, or so one would think. But what lies behind that mask of foundation cream and other cosmetics that actually give her that getup in all her movies?

Real Life: :
Far away from what we think about Sush is the reality, if you see her without her usual done up look one would wonder how she was crowned as Miss Universe. Not that she is all that bad but all the same. In reality she looks just the opposite. Those features that make her who she is are a stark difference from what they are onscreen, her hair looks some what lifeless but thick all the same it has sort of lost its shine, her eyes sport heavy puffs and dark circles, her creamy complexion with a hint of weatish colour seems pale and a bit mottled in places, her luscious lips seem to have suddenly lost their appeal and are just there, the skin around her neck looks a bit saggy far away from the tight skin that stretches across her taunt face in movies. Maybe that’s what smoking has done to her? It gives an impression of an individual who is suffering from severe stress and other problems.

Amrita Arora:

From being a VJ for MTV to becoming a model for advertisements likes Ponds, Elle 18, fountain Pepsi and many others, she later entered the film industry following in the footsteps of her elder sister. All those MTV fans will find it very easy as we are talking about none other than Amrita Arora. With her sparkling eyes, a killer smile and a good complexion to boot, she instantly became the heartthrob of Bollywood. Just thinking of her name brings back flashes from movies like Awara Paagal Dewana, Red, Heyy Babyy and many others. Whenever asked about her goal she smiles with a glittering set of pearly whites and says happily that she is following in the footsteps of her famous elder sister. Amrita Arora is younger sister to one of the fast emerging faces of fashion and beauty. However this didn’t have any great effect on Amrita’s life. If we were to see her then she would have passed off as just being another college grad student with nothing special. With her hair tied back in a pony tail she had the appearance of a thin lanky and nimble girl. One would never think that she was the same woman we see in the movies. She may just be one of the best looking Bollywood actresses, with her translucent skin glowing with radiance and her sparkling smile she is well geared to captivate the minds of the audience. She is Kareena Kapoor. The combined effect of her mastery over her acting skills and her drop dead good looks. Just recently she went on a slimming diet and emerged a changed woman. Her new look enhances her style and makes her look better than before. However don’t be fooled by this gorgeous lean look, but take a peek what she is behind the scenes.

Real Life: :
Quite contrary to the glam doll image she portrays on-screen Kareena is like any other person with her own flaws, the glowing skin is gone and is replaced with one that shows some kind of irritation at times she appears blanched and pale like as though she suffers from some ailment or side effect. Her luscious hair appears quite lifeless and drawn her eyes seem lost and lack luster. This is definitely not the same Kareena we are used to seeing in the movies. It is a complete contrast to what we see and this somehow repels the viewer while at the same time making a person think about the wonders a bit of makeup can do, and how much it can transform an individual from being a plain Jane to a superstar.

Esha Deol:

On-screen Esha has an image of being an actress who is abreast of the times and is in with the current fashions and trends. She has at times been portrayed as a glam doll and Esha has no problems about this. Her smooth skin and long hair that gently falls on the side made her a hit with the audience, her glowing eyes and her ever ready smile were some aspects that made her stand out. If we go back to the movie Dhoom Esha looked all set to kill, her acting skills and her dressing sense are incomparable and have made her what she is. But other wise what does she looks like? Real Life::
Esha Deol like most of the film stars is almost always hidden behind a screen of makeup. Esha actually is not much different from what we see. However the main difference is in her skin complexion and colour, it never appears as smooth and unblemished as otherwise. Her hair is normally bunched up with a few tassels falling on either side of her oblongish face. The eye brows seem less highlighted and thicker while on the other hand her smile still remains unchanged.

Bipasha Basu:

Bipasha is considered as one of the leading sexiest stars of Bollywood, her image is something she takes care about to see that she is always in fashion. She constantly changes her look and offers the audience a variety in the image aspect. When she made her debut and till date she is one of the top most sex symbols in the film world. Her well tanned skin with its brownish glow were hot favourites and started off a new look in Bollywood. When talking about Bips one cannot refrain from thinking about the beedi song and the number from No Entry. But what does that bong bombshell look like in normal life?

Real Life::
Bipasha is one person who on camera or off, is constantly changing looks she pays careful attention to what the masses should see her as. If we were to describe her features it would be something like she has a broad forehead, her skin colour is not as tanned as it looks her eyes appear wider and unappealing, while the lustrous shine that her has is still there but it doesn’t have the same effect. Off screen Bips looks like another model sans the getup and glamour.

Rani Mukherji has a static look in most of her movies, which doesn’t seem to change much, but her acting skills are what make her the star she is today. However sometimes Rani tries to look different like in the movie Black, KANK and Laga Chunari Mein Daag she has experimented with her looks and has been successful in looking her best. Her features in film are totally transformed and seem perfect and flawless. Her makeup gives her that extra something that makes her appealing by highlighting what is best and covering up flaws.

Real Life::
In real life Rani doesn’t look anything close to what we are used to seeing her on screen, she seems to be like any other girl from the next door with nothing appealing about her looks and she doesn’t mind this. But at times she looks as though she has had her beauty sleep in the last few days with dark circles under her eyes and also a bit of puffiness to boot.

Manisha Koirala :

Reel Life::
Manisha is originally from Nepal with her roots tracing back to the ruling party there, this is what gives her that wonderful chinky look that made her popular during her hay days. Her complexion was smooth and creamy while her eyes sparkled with enthusiasm with her lips forming a perfect curve with their shape and firmness not forgetting their smoothness. Her mouth tapers off into a well defined curve. Her hair is wavy and well groomed and looked after. But this look somehow does not carry off into the life of the star as it is meant for cameras only.

Real Life::
Contrary to her screen image she appears pretty harrowed and troubled, it seems as though she has been going through a rough patch. Or maybe her late night partying and alcohol abuse has played havoc on her. Her once smooth and well formed lips are totally cracked and blanched of colour. Her well defined eyebrows seem to be totally out of control and have not been groomed. While her hair far from its wavy look seems pretty knotted up and dry. Hey eyes have a certain lost look and fail to show the fire we see in them in the movies. It’s as though she is but a ghost of her screen self wandering in search of something.

Tanushree Dutta:

She made her way into Bollywood like many who came before her by winning the title of Miss India. When she made her debut she was one of the top models in the industry making waves with her style and her gorgeous looks. Her free well nourished hair and perfectly formed mouth and defined lips are her strong points. Her doe eyes with their sparkle caught the attention of many a man. Her skin texture and colour are perfect not too fair and yet not too dark. It was just right and all these in combination were what led her into becoming a successful Bollywood star. But has any one seen this beauty queen without her makeup when she is at home and isn’t meeting anyone.

Real Life::
Totally opposite from her screen image Tanushree looks like some one suffering from a bad hangover, her hair pulled back in a tight ponytail makes her forehead look abnormally broad. Her eyes seem to have faded and lost their appeal. There are puffy lines forming below them and seem to be half open. Her mouth is turned upwards and that sizzling smile of hers is long gone. It just a wonder how make up can change the way a person looks, whether onscreen or off.

Ayesha is like the new kid on the block but has been making waves ever since with her stunning looks and ever ready smile. She has the face of a baby with the fresh pink hue to boot; she has all the makings of a glam doll. But what is she like off screen?

Real Life::
unlike the glam doll image we see on the big screen Ayesha is pretty normal without her makeup. The glowing skin is gone and the glow which seemed to have a radiance of divine beauty has vanished. The smile is one thing that has not changed much, though it looks like she is going through a rough patch and her mind is not focused on what’s happening.

Rakhi Sawant:

though she has appeared in a few films all know about her. Rakhi has always been some one who is fine with strutting her stuff where ever she goes; her well defined lips give Angelina a run for her money. Her hair is thick and lustrous. But is she always so well composed?

Real Life:

this pretty lady looks stunning in her videos but at home without her dose from her compact box her looks different. Her high cheek bones are too high and tend to downsize her eyes, the creases beneath her eyes are visible and her skin is pretty oily and totally not as smooth as in her videos. Looking at these stars we think what makes them so big, the answer their makeup.

thinking of Urmila we are drawn back to the film RGV Ke Aag with her sensuous moves, weatish tan and her brown hair. Her eyes are well shaped like the hieroglyphics on old Egyptian paintings. Her spark cannot be matched with anything less. But what about when she going about her routine work at home is she still like this?

Real Life::
quite opposite to the dancing beauty Urmila has led a solitary life and has never been pretty successful in relationships. Even though she appears as a stunner onscreen she is quite different and altogether changed in normal life. Looking at her one would see the deep lines on her face which are a result of long months spent alone and totally tired. She appears washed up and pretty bored of doing the same thing over and over again. Her hair though still life like is graying and the smooth skin is long gone and replaced with a rough and gritty one, her eyes appear deeply sunk and have dark circles around them. That spar has been extinguished and in its place there seems to be a lost loneliness which is numbing.

Starting off the year with Bujjigadu opposite Prabhas, Trisha is signing off the year with Nagarjuna's King, both of which have proved to be major hits.

2. Genelia: She wowed audiences in Santhosh Subramaniam and Ready, has crossed the Vindhyas to star in the multiplex hit Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (Hindi).

With her slim figure and expressive eyes, she's the darling of the masses. Her Sasirekha Parinayam opposite Tarun, showcasing her liveliness and little-lost-girl appearance, will cement her position as a top heroine in 2009 as well
3. Anushka Shetty: She comes third with her kitty full of hits. Opening the year with Okka Magaadu (mega hit), Swagatham had a tepid response at the box office, Sowryam established her as sensuous sex-bomb and Chintakayala Ravi was the cherry on Anushka's cake as she was cast opposite superstar Venkatesh.

5. Nayantara comes fourth because Kathanayakudu, one of her biggest releases, did not fare well at the box office. And close on its heels came Salute starring Vishal which is more remembered for its provocative poses than the performances of its lead actors.

Still, Nayantara remained in Telugu audiences' minds as a sizzling hot heroine. She has recovered lost ground admirably by signing a film opposite young hunk Jr. NTR, who is the spitting image of his grandfather, the legendary Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.

Priyadharshan Film to be screened in Psiff

Kanchivaram in annual Palm Springs International Film Festival

One of the most successful commercial filmmaker in India, Priyadarshan's critically acclaimed off-beat Tamil film Kanchivaram (also referred to as Kanchipuram) will be screened at the 20th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival, 2009 (PSIFF) to be held in California from January 6 to 19, 2009. Kanchivaram was recently premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and International Film Festival of India 2008 (IFFI) in Goa.

Priyadarshan will deliver a short speech about his film during the festival, which is considered to be the most glamorous and prestigious event in the world. PSIFF, founded in 1990, will screen 210 films from 73 countries.

Talking about his forthcoming Hindi film Billoo Barber produced by Shahrukh Khan and Gauri Khan, Priyadarshan said that the film will be released on February 13. Billoo Barber is a remake of renowned Malayalam filmmaker Sreenivasan’s Katha Parayumbol (2007) which was recently remade as Kuselan by P. Vasu in Tamil.

“Unlike Rajinikanth starrer Kuselan, Billoo Barber will be closer to the original version which had a lot more human sentiments and in which the focus was on the life and times of the barber's character. SRK is just the icing on the cake and I’m sure it will work,” a newspaper quoted him as saying.

Apart from Billoo Barber, Priyadarshan is currently working on three Hindi films: Bhum Bhum Bhole, De Dhana Dhan and Malamaal Weekly-2 which are expected in April, October and December respectively. Priyadarshan is also planning to direct a Malayalam film this year with scripting by M.T. Vasudevan Nair, one of the biggest literary giants in Kerala. This film will feature his favourite actor Mohanlal in the lead. Other details of the film are yet to be finalized.

Upcoming hero Nakul (of Kadhal Vizhunden fame) and heroine Poorna (Muniyandi Moondram Vilangiyal fame) are pairing up in Kandha Kottai, a love story which will be directed by Shakthi, who assisted Radha Mohan in Kanda Naal Mudhal.

Though Boys was Nakul’s first film, the young man has been in great demand ever since Kadhalil Vizhunden happened – every director or producer wants to make a film with him. At present, he is working in Masilamani opposite Sunaina, who was also his heroine in Kadhalil Vizhunden.

Recently, both these actors participated in the photoshoot of Kandha Kottai and their sizzling onscreen chemistry was a pleasant surprise to all. Insiders say that they make a great onscreen pair and that their onscreen chemistry will prove to be the film’s main USP.

Best film Award For Poo

Poo stars Srikanth, whom Sasi introduced in Roja Kootam, and Parvati, who has acted in the successful Malayalam Notebook and Flash. This is Sasi's fourth film after Sollamale, Roja Kootam and Dishyum and his first film set in a village. The story is based on a short story 'Veyilodu Poi' by Tamilselvan.

This simple chronicle of love will now be awarded the Best Film award by Makkal TV in a grand ceremony on Bhogi Day, January 12th, on the premises of Chettinad Vidyashram School, Raja Annamalaipuram. The awards have been conceptualized with the aim of encouraging Tamil culture and trends that are fast disappearing due to a lack of recognition from the public. Makkal TV has announced these awards to winners in 32 categories such as Best Daily, Best Writer, Best Citizen, Best Drama, Best Short Film, Best Sportsperson, etc.

Dr. Anbumani Ramdass, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, will be presenting the awards. Since the organizers wanted to retain the suspense and thrill of ceremony, they chose not to reveal the names of all the winners. But an exception was made for the Best Film awardee and it was announced that Poo will receive the Best Film award for its realistic portrayal of rural life in the interior of Tamil Nadu.

Police Arrests TV Actress For Prostitution

Gowri (28), an actress who appears in the popular TV serial Kolangal was arrested by the City's anti prostitution wing police last night.

According to the police, the actress was arrested while she was in the companyof some 'customers'.

Earlier the police had got information from their secret sources about the prostitution racket working in the luxurious Sujatha apartments located in the posh area of Raja Annamalaipuram, the place where some VIPs have their residences.

A team from the anti prostitution wing headed by Deputy Commissioner Vijayakumari conducted a thorough raid in the apartment late in the evening and found some girls inside the apartment. Gowri was also in that house at the time. Later all the three accepted that they were involved in prostitution.

Gowri is an actress and she had appeared in Tamil films like Paravaigal Palavitham, Moondru Natkal, Kadhalukku Mariyadhai and some Telugu films as well.

She is presently acting in Kolangal. Interestingly, she is playing the role of a tough cop in the serial!

Neetu Chandra complaint on Rajasekhar and Jeevitha

Actress Neetu Chandra who is acting with hero Rajasekhar in his next movie Satyameva Jayathe an email complaint to Hyderabad City Police Commissioner stating that hero Rajasekhar and his wife Jeevitha who is directing the movie harassed her last month during the shooting of Satyameva Jayathe. Neetu Chandra being a Bollywood actress, Mumbai Mirror news paper wrote an article about Neetu Chandra being bothered by Jeevitha and Rajasekhar.

City Police Commissioner confirmed about the complaint through e-mail and also said that he was not sure whether Neetu Chandra herself sent the complaint or somebody else sent it using her name. The Police Commissioner also added that he would not register a complaint against Rajasekhar and Jeevitha couple until Neetu Chandra personally lodges a complaint in any of the Hyderabad Police Stations.

Speaking on this issue, Jeevitha said that this is not at all true and is a cheap trick by people in film industry who does not like her husband and hero Rajasekhar.
