KVPY is Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana, this is programme being managed by the department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The primary purpose of KVPY is to support and encourage students from basic sciences, engineering and medicine to take up higher career options by doing research in the respective areas. So KVPY provides aid and scholarship to these students.

The result of the KVPY Examination held on 2nd November 2008 in SA / SB / SB+2 Stream is announced herewith. The selected candidates will be informed about their interview Venue, Date and Time in due course. The result announced here is provisional in nature, subject to verification of study certificate.

JNTU conducts an entrance examination called as EAMCET to the students who want to take engineering course in JNTU or other JNTU affiliated colleges. The minimum qualification to take this test is 10+2.

Apart from this JNTU also conducts ECET for Diploma(10+3) Students who want to take admissions to Direct Second year of the Four year Engineering courses (B.E./B.Tech) in JNTU affiliated colleges and to first year in JNTU campus.
