SYLLABUS FOR APTITUDE TEST B. ARCH./B. PLANNINGt

Part - I
Awareness of persons, places, Buildings, Materials.) Objects, Texture related to Architecture and build~ environment. Visualising three dimensional objects from two dimensional drawings. Visualising. different sides of three dimensional objects. Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal).

Part - II

Three dimensional - perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, building forms and elements, colour texture, harmony and contrast. .


Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil. Transformation of forms both 2 D and 3 D union, substraction, rotation, development of surfaces and
volumes, Generation of Plan, elevations and 3 D views of . objects. Creating two dimensional and three dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms.

Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urbanscape (public space, market, festivals, street scenes, monuments, recreational spaces etc.), landscape (river fronts, jungles. gardens, trees, plants etc.) and rural life.

Note:

Candidates are advised to bring pencils, own geometry box set, erasers and colour pencils and crayons for the Aptitude Test

CBSE 10th and 12th Examination will start from 2nd March 2009. The detailed datesheet will be published in the last week of December 2008

All the qualified and eligible candidates who are claiming admission under Sports category are informed to attend with all original certificates including Sports & Games along with two sets of Xerox copies for verification and to fix up the priorities at Sankethika Vidya Bhavan, Masabtank, and Hyderabad Only, as per the schedule given below

No verification of Sports & Games certificates will be entertained on 12-10-2008. Allotment will be made in terms of the orders of Hon’ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh in W.P.No.20957 of 2008. Candidates may have to stay a day extra if necessary and mere attending counseling does not guarantee a seat
