NOTIFICATION NO.20/BOPEE OF 2008, DATED : 29-9-2008. RESULT DECLARATION OF COMMON ENTRANCE TEST HELD ON 13TH & 14 OF SEPTEMBER, 2008. Common Entrance Test (CET)- 2008
The following candidates are provisionally selected for MBBS, BDS, BV.Sc. Courses and for the Government Engineering seats. In case of Engineering Courses (offered both by the Government and Private Colleges) and the rest of all other Courses as specified in the information Broucher, the allotment of streams and Institutions/Colleges/Universities will be made through counseling on the scheduled dates that will be notified separately.
The selected candidates are required to report in the allotted Colleges/Institutions/Universities on or before 4th of October, 2008 along with all the necessary certificates in original and the Admit Cards issued to them by the Board. The candidature of the selected candidates would be subject to the determination of their final eligibility by the concerned Universities.

Chennai

The Notification for the recruitment of 354 Gr.II Jail Warders (Men) for the year 2007 was published in the Dailies on 03-02-2008. (Ref. No. A1/5000/2007). Out of a total of 30,043 applications received, 28,566 applicants were found eligible to appear for the Written Test and remaining 1477 applicants were rejected. Accordingly, call letters were sent to eligible candidates for the Written Test on 04-05-2008. 26,187 candidates attended the test and 2379 candidates were absent. The candidates who got the required minimum marks of 40 and above will be called for Physical Measurement Test / Endurance Test / Physical Efficiency Test on 04-06-2008 and 05-06-2008. Intimation to the eligible candidates will be sent by post shortly.
