The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education, Pune came into existence on 1st January, 1966, as per the Maharashtra Act No.XLI of 1965 (called as Maharashtra Secondary Boards Act 1965) to regulate certain matters pertaining to secondary education in the State of Maharashtra. The Act was amended in 1977 and the nomenclature of the Board has been changed to “The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.”

IIT JEE 2009 will be held for determining candidates eligible for admission into IITs, Indias’ 13 premier engineering colleges at Bhubaneswar, Bombay, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Patna, Punjab, Rajasthan and Roorkee.

JEE-2009 Examination Schedule : Sunday 12 April, 2009. Paper I : 0900-1200 hrs., Paper II : 1400-1700 hrs.

The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) invites applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Civil Judges (Junior Division) in Haryana Civil Service (Judicial Branch) following :

Qualification : Candidate should hold a degree of Bachelor of Laws from a University established by law and approved/ recognized by the Bar Council of India.

Age : Between 21 to 40 years as on 15/10/2008. Age relaxation as per rules.

Pay Scale : Rs.9000-14550/-

Application Form : For application forms and detailed information, please write to the Secretary, Haryana Public Service Commission, SCO 64-65, Sector 17-A, Chandigarh-160017 by remitting Rs.1000/- for general category including son/daughter of Ex-Servicemen of Haryana candidates and Rs.500/- for the candidates of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe of all States and Backward Class/Ex-Servicemen/Physically Handicapped of Haryana only, through Indian Postal Orders/Bank Drafts (from any branch of Scheduled Bank payable to the Secretary, Haryana Public Service Commission at Chandigarh, with self addressed (with Pin Code) envelope of 24x 11 cm. size duly stamped with stamps worth Rs. 40/- by registered post or on cash payment from the counter from 10.00 A.M. to 1.00 P.M. and 2 PM to 4 PM on all working days. The candidate must write his name, address in block letters, name of the post for which application form is required and category of form i.e. General including dependent son/daughter of ESM of Haryana and another for reserved category.

Scheme of Examination : The examination shall be conducted in three stages namely, (i) Preliminary Examination (ii) Main Examination and (iii) Viva Voce.

The SIAC will hold an ENTRANCE TEST for two papers on SATURDAY, 1st NOVEMBER, 2008 for the selection of candidates to 11 month full time Training Programme for the Civil Services Examination (IAS/IPS/IFS, etc.) to be conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC) in 2009.
